January 22, 2006 at a fundraiser for NC Senator Ellie Kinneard

After Elizabeth Edwards spoke at a Chapel Hill 2006 fundraiser (I believe it was January 22) for Senator Kinneard, I asked her if there was somewhere I could get a copy of her talk. She laughed and said the only copy was the one she had with her, which she had written the night before, and then she handed the typed pages to me. I was so surprised I’m not sure I adequately thanked her, but I am really glad she gave me the talk, which is no less important today. The pages she handed me are reproduced below. I see now, in 2006, she even mentions Donald Trump.

Ellie Kinneard in the NC State Sentate and Verla Insko in the NC House were responsible for NC adopting voter-verified paper ballots.
